I visited Russia for the first time in 2001 and took part in the Alexander Nevsky Cup tournament, which I remember for its high level of organization, the excellent technical equipment at the layouts, the first-class prizes and professional adjudication. I would really like to stress the high level of the Russian shooters. The beautiful city of St. Petersburg also made a great impression on me. I hope that I will take part in the Alexander Nevsky Cup tournament and I also hope to bring a team from our club.

On my first trip to St Petersburg I was transfixed by the splendour of this remarkable Russian city. The hospitable organizers of the Alexander Nevsky Cup tournament-Perazzi St. Petersburg Grand Prix managed to prepare an exciting international sports event in a very short time. The tournament was organized to a very high standard. The shooters experienced no inconvenience whatsoever from the minute they arrived in Russia until they left. The well-equipped shooting range allowed for versatile and challenging target flights. In terms of its prize level, the Alexander Nevsky Gup tournament-Perazzi St. Petersburg Grand Prix ranks equal to major European tournaments. I believe that a great future awaits this St Petersburg tournament.
